Greenmatters Workshop
Titled “Passive/Active Solar and Other Alternative Energy Sources”
Wednesday, November 12, 2008
The Habitat Store at 1221 Harris Street
We will have social hour and refreshments from 5pm-6pm, workshop from 6pm-8:30pm, and networking from 7:30pm-8pm. Topic: Active/Passive Solar and Other Alternative Energy Sources: Part 2. For those of you who missed our October session, we had more than 130 attendees and very strong interest. As a result, we are expanding the November session. We will still have refreshments and social hour from 5-6pm. Then the workshop will run from 6pm-8:30pm (with a short break in the middle). Many thanks to Fred Oesch and Paul Risberg for a very informative first session and we look forward to their continued participation. It is ok if you missed the first part of this workshop; there is still relevant and applicable knowledge to be gained by attending the November session. Speakers: Fred Oesch with Oesch Environmental Design and Paul Risberg with Altenergy, Inc. Also, people can go to www.greenmatters.info to learn more, see the full schedule of workshops, and explore our discussion boards. Folks, this discussion board will only be as good as you make it. I encourage you to spend a few minutes and register. Help make this a valuable reference tool for the local community. AS ALWAYS, THESE WORKSHOPS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO ALL! PLEASE TELL FRIENDS, FAMILY, COLLEAGUES, AND STRANGERS ALIKE.

Student Activities Center
Saturday, November 15, 6-6:30pm
This fourth annual event will benefit the arts program at St. Anne's Belfied and is open to the public ($5 donation is suggested). Sure to be an amazing, talented, creative display of recycled and reused items incorporated into fashion, don't miss this great runway show. This year an exciting element will be added. Betty hates to ruin the surprise here for you, but this year live percussion on junk will accompany the students models of wearable art! More info contact Randy Bill at St. Anne's Belfield.
