All the local packaging stores accept peanuts for recycling. We recommend calling ahead, as materials are accepted on an as-needed basis.

Refurnished is a UVA student-led organization that recovers landfill-bound, gently-used, locally-owned furnishings including mattresses into the hands of those in need throughout the Charlottesville community. They conduct robust cleaning of the gently-used mattresses they accept. They can provide pick-up and drop-off for any furnishing donated or requested.
